Relieve Neck and Shoulder Tension: Smarter sitting with pilates

Forward head posture and tight shoulders are very common when sitting. Smarter sitting means allowing your head to stack over your spine and your shoulders to relax downward.


Try this posture reset:

  • Sit tall.

  • Gently draw your chin slightly back.

  • Inhale, lift your chest.

  • Exhale, soften your shoulders.


Then try this:

  • Inhale, lift shoulders to ears.

  • Exhale, roll them back and down.

  • Repeat 5 times.


You should feel lighter and more open through your upper body.
