When most people think of strength, they picture biceps, glutes, and beast-mode. But the unsung heroes? The small stabilisers.

These tiny muscles may not look impressive on Instagram, but they keep the big muscles honest. Think rotator cuff, deep core, foot intrinsics, hip rotators. Without them, your major movers go rogue—and that’s how injury happens.

Why we train them

  • Injury prevention  Tiny muscles = big-time joint protection

  • Movement precision  You can’t balance on one leg without these guys showing up

  • Longevity  They give your body resilience and adaptability over time

This is the kind of thing that anatomy nerds like myself love. Biomechanics - understanding how the body moves - is fascinating.

But even if you aren't an anatomy nerd, you will appreciate training that works all your muscles, rather than just the main ones.

So next time someone asks why they’re pulsing on a magic circle or doing toe lifts, tell them: “We’re building strength where it matters most.”

Flashy is fun—but function is forever.
