Your Nervous System Called… It Needs a Break

Your muscles aren’t the only things that get taxed by movement—your nervous system takes the hit, too. And unlike your biceps, it doesn’t always tell you it’s overloaded… until it screams.
You may feel it as:
Brain fog
Trouble sleeping
Irritability
Diminished coordination
A sense of being “on edge” or wired but tired
Here’s what your nervous system needs...
Downregulation - Breath work, slow movement, stretching, sleep, quiet.
Consistency - A daily nervous system “snack” beats a once-a-week overhaul. Thirty minutes or an hour to yourself can make a BIG difference.
Permission - Yes, it’s okay to choose the chill option in class, have an hour to yourself, stay in bed to read your book at the weekend. Sometimes that’s the real strength move.
Training isn’t just physical—it’s neurological. A calm, regulated nervous system is a superpower. Treat it like one.
